Rockets had a legit chance to beat the Lakers in this series , who went on the win the championship.

Lakers had a HELL of a time guarding Brooks , and if I recall correctly it went to a game 7 even without Yao.

Truly a somewhat weird what could have been moment as the Rockets were basically Yao + role players and not considered true contenders at the time.

Also worth noting that by 2009 , McGrady was physically and emotionally worn down to a shell of his former self , but he was still a starter.
